Girls’ Basketball Team Forfeits Playoff Match Over Biological Male Opponent
Mid Vermont Christian School was originally set to face Long Trail School on February 21 before the team opted out of the tournament. A high school girls’ basketball team in Vermont has decided to withdraw from an out-of-state tournament after learning they would compete against a team that includes a transgender player.
According to CNN, Mid Vermont Christian School (MVCS) was scheduled to face Long Trail School on February 21 but forfeited the match due to the presence of a transgender athlete on the opposing team.
